Inputs: buildings is one owned producer Object or a dense array; technology is an integer ID in 0..32767. Invalid IDs are rejected before native conversion.

Description: Requests one technology research. The tracked form rejects invalid group members and can report research-query-or-layout-unavailable. A submitted receipt does not establish affordability, eligibility, or completed research; read live research state.

Output: ResearchTechnology returns true for queue admission, otherwise false. ResearchTechnologyTracked returns accepted, receipt.

Errors: Wrong Lua argument types raise an argument error. Invalid technology IDs reject; tracked calls can report research-query-or-layout-unavailable. Invalid buildings and session changes also reject. A tracked receipt gives the rejection reason when available.
