LockGates

LockGates(gates) · LockGatesTracked(gates)

Input: gates is one owned gate or a dense array of at most 255 distinct gates. Output: The ordinary form returns queue admission; the tracked form returns accepted, receipt.

Description: Requests a locked state.

Errors: Wrong Lua argument types raise an argument error. An empty, invalid, non-gate, or oversized group, lost ownership, changed session, missing layout, or intervening human order rejects the request. A tracked receipt gives the rejection reason when available.

LockGates(gates) and LockGatesTracked(gates) accept one gate or a table of owned gates, with at most 255 distinct actors. They send native command 133 with state 1, requesting a locked state rather than inverting the current state. The tracked form returns the normal admission result and receipt; it does not observe the final gate state. Empty/invalid groups, non-gates, ownership changes, missing layout and intervening human orders reject the request. Actors and gate classes are checked again at execution. No native pointers cross the queue.

Explicit unlock remains unavailable: command 133's state 0 means toggle. ToggleGate is still available, but must not be treated as an idempotent unlock. Repeated lock requests carry the same requested state; that does not justify retrying a submitted command automatically or overriding later human intent.
